Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine in a comical moment from last night’s “The Voice,” hopped out of his judges chair to the stage where he, in a nervous, inexperienced voice, whispered “I’m terrified.”
He went on to perform as many of the nervous contestants do, and sang Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.”
Christina Aguilera was the first to hit her button, followed soon after by Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams. When Levine saw the three judges had shown their approval, he shouted “Come on Adam, don’t be a hold out!” Pharrell then moved over to hit Adam’s button on his empty chair to make it a four chair turn. And even though Adam’s button was pushed, he said he had to “go with his gut” and chose Christina as his coach!
“I think there are some potential things that need a little tweaking and fine-tuning,” evaluated Christina. “But that’s nothing that I can’t handle as a coach and we’re going to work on some things. I could be able to take Adam to the very end!”
