PENTATONIX: 1.4 Billion Views on You Tube Can’t Be Wrong! The Grammy-Winning Group to Play the Schott THIS Sunday!

One of the most anticipated concerts of the season is the Grammy-winning a cappella group Pentatonix, who will hit the Schottenstein Center stage THIS SUNDAY (October 30).

They gained their initial fame from You Tube when they became an instant sensation with their videos and performances receiving almost 1.5 BILLION…yes, that’s BILLION…views!

Since they began just five short years ago, they have sold more than three million albums.  Their most recent album “Pentatonix” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Album chart.  The five member group have also received gold certifications for their awesome “Daft Punk” medley and their fantastic and original cover of Imagine Dragons “Radioactive.”

The Arena Guy could go on an on with their accomplishments, but the music should speak for itself.  Check out these three incredible videos below, and if you don’t get excited about Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kristin Maldonado, Ari Kaplan and Kevin “K.O” Olusolo performing as Pentatonix at the Schott this Sunday…well, you might want to check your pulse!

Their newest video is their stunning and emotional take on Leonard Cohen’s classic “Hallelujah,” from their new Christmas CD “A Pentatonix Christmas.” Also on the album is a mix of holiday classics, modern and seasonal favorites and two new songs.  If it is anything like their previous Christmas album “That’s Christmas To Me,” which went double platinum, this too will be a new holiday classic.

Recently Pentatonix teamed up with the legendary Dolly Parton for a unique twist on her classic “Jolene,” and what resulted was pure magic! The Arena Guy challenges you not to smile during this performance!

And The Arena Guy needs to include “Can’t Sleep Love,” from their most recent album, the self-titled “Pentatonix.”  The video was an instant hit with over 18 million You Tube views and was certified gold!

Just based on these three videos alone, it is certain “Pentatonix” will be one of the concert highlights this season.  Plus we know they have a lot more up their sleeve!  It will be a fun evening THIS SUNDAY at the Schottenstein Center!
